NFL Week 2 Recap
The second week of the NFL was full of action, along with a few upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan. Next, let’s take a look at some of our favorite games of the week during this NFL Week 2 recap.
Tennessee Titans vs. Buffalo Bills – 41-7 (Bills)
This wasn’t a competitive game at all, but it showed just how great the Buffalo Bills are. The Titans earned only 187 total yards of offense.
In addition, their defense was battered by the Bills, which scored 24 points in the fourth quarter. Derrick Henry, yet again, was a non-factor.
The Buffalo Bills found a way to neutralize the Titans’ run offense and Derrick Henry. Along with playing a dominant defensive game, the Bills showcased their high-powered offense. Forcing four turnovers, the team to beat in the NFL at the moment is the Buffalo Bills.
Minnesota Vikings vs. Philadelphia Eagles – 24-7 (Eagles)
The second Monday night game ended in a disappointing evening for the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota scored once in the first quarter and then never again after that.
Overall, Kirk Cousins threw three interceptions paired with 221 yards. However, we wouldn’t say the loss is all on Kirk Cousins, though.
The Philadelphia Eagles put up over 300 yards of offense in the first half. By the end of the game, the Eagles had nearly 500 yards of offense but didn’t score after halftime. Also, the Eagles are now 2-0, and they are in firm control of the NFC East.
