NFL Week 5 Recap

The fifth week of the NFL was full of action, along with a few upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan.

Let’s take a look at some of the NFL games of the week during this NFL Week 5 recap. 

Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos – 12-9 (Colts)

Normally, we only go over the games that we consider to be great games. However, it’s worth highlighting possibly the worst offensive game we’ve seen all year.

The game between the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos resulted in not a single touchdown being scored. The Colts won 12-9, putting into question what exactly has gone wrong with the Broncos. 

Is it Russell Wilson, who went 21-39 with 274 passing yards and two interceptions? He’s definitely part of the problem in Denver, especially with two late-game interceptions.

The offense looks awful, and they haven’t taken any steps to improve this season. As they head into Week 6, we’d like to see a lot more from this team. 

New York Giants vs. Green Bay Packers – 27-22 (Giants)

If you didn’t get a chance to wake up early and watch the London game, you missed out. The game between the Giants and the Packers was incredible.

Saquon Barkley went for 70 yards and a touchdown, while Daniel Jones passed for 217 yards. The Giants’ defense found a way to get a few key stops which ultimately led to their win. 

The Green Bay Packers are now 3-2, but Aaron Rodgers isn’t too concerned at the moment. They’re still over .500 and have a game against the New York Jets this week.

Still, they need to find their identity on defense. They can’t continue to allow teams to score points on them late in games.
