NFL Week 8 Betting Recap

We are approaching the halfway point in the 2021 NFL regular season. Week 8 was one for the ages, with backup quarterbacks winning games, massive upsets, and plenty of heartbreak for betting.

New York Jets Mike White is a King

The New York Jets won their second game of the season, and they did it without Zach Wilson under center. Mike White made the first start of his professional career, and he threw for 405 yards for three touchdowns.

Michael Carter added 15 carries for 77 yards and one score. The Jets defeated the Bengals by a 34-31 margin, and they scored 17 points in the fourth quarter. The Bengals should have won this game against the Jets, who had just one win coming into Sunday.

Chiefs Win but Don’t Cover

The Chiefs are a bad football team. They still may make the playoffs, but they are not talented in 2021. They nearly lost to the Giants, who have two wins in 2021. Kansas City did not cover again, and it’s a problem for bettors.

At least they won as a heavy favorite. They were -400 heading into the game on most sportsbooks. This provides no value to bettors.
