Pittsburgh Steelers vs Kansas City Chiefs Predictions

NFL Week 16 Outlook; Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021

There are three weeks remaining in the NFL regular season. The season has flown by, but we still have some time to capitalize on betting before the playoffs arise. Week 16 has some tremendous betting opportunities, so let’s start preparing.

Here is your Week 16 betting outlook.

Chiefs Defense and Patrick Mahomes Propel Kansas City to AFC’s top spot

The Chiefs have been hurting on the ground in six of the past seven weeks. While Kansas City isn’t known for its ground game, Pittsburgh’s inability to score consistently is a good enough reason to fade the Steelers. Even if they’re playing must-win games the rest of the way.

Patrick Mahomes and the offense have come alive over the last couple weeks while their stifling defense remains strong enough to make them contenders in any game against anyone else in football. Expect these teams to battle it out with only one coming away with bragging rights when they meet on December 26th at Arrowhead Stadium.

Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a 19-13 win over Tennessee as +10 point heading into Arrowhead Stadium against an team that has won five straight games. The Chiefs also boast one of the league’s top defenses allowing only 301 yards per game (1st) and 18 points per game (2nd)—but they’re also allowing a league-high 4.4 yards per carry. Pittsburgh might not put up much resistance, but I don’t see how the Chiefs can cover a double-digit spread with any confidence.

Steelers vs Chiefs Predictions

The Pittsburgh Steelers forced four turnovers last week against the Tennessee Titans. They were dominated but came out on top because they were +4 in the turnover margin. The Steelers need to play better if they want to make the postseason.

The Kansas City Chiefs are starting to roll, and 64% of bettors are taking them at -10. The Chiefs are 10-4 SU and 7-7 ATS this season.

The Steelers are still alive in the AFC playoff hunt, but they need to win on Sunday with their 7-6-1 record. I do not think Pittsburgh has enough firepower on offense to keep up with Patrick Mahomes.
