NFL Week 13 Recap

The thirteenth week of the NFL has come to a close, and it was full of action. There were a few games that resulted in shocking upsets.

Certain games that were considered “sure things” ended up falling through the cracks, while other bouts went according to plan. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite matches of the week during this NFL Week 13 recap.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Detroit Lions – 40-14 (Lions)

This was perhaps one of the most shocking games of the week. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense was easily toppled by the Detroit Lions this weekend. Scoring just six points through the first half, the Jaguars were down 23-6 at halftime. From that point on, the Lions laid on the pressure and took down the Jaguars.

Jared Goff of the Lions had an incredible game, passing for 340 yards and a touchdown. The team improved to 5-7 and will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14.

With the amount of momentum they have from this game, they should be in good shape. Goff will need to have another stellar game to beat Minnesota next week.

Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles – 35-10 (Eagles)

The Tennesse Titans will have to head back to the drawing board after last week. Even with their 7-5 record, they don’t have a firm hold on the AFC South.

Their 35-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t help the situation either. The Titans were unable to score any points in the second half. The worst part, however, is how their defense easily crumbled.

The Philadelphia Eagles walked right over the Tennessee Titans in Week 13. By the end of the first half, they were already up 21-10. They followed it up by scoring fourteen points in the second half and winning the game.

Jalen Hurts passed for 380 yards and three touchdowns on the day. Former Titans receiver A.J. Brown had eight receptions for 119 yards and two scores.
