NFL Week 15 Recap
We are seeing many teams getting ready for the playoffs as we head into the final weeks of the NFL regular season. Some teams are starting to take the lead, while others fall into the background.
This next week, there are many games that are up in the air. You never know what will happen heading into each game. Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.
It feels like we’ve said this at least three other times this season, but Week 15 was the craziest week of the year. Let’s take a look at some of the best games this past week.
First Place Changes Hands in the AFC North (34-23 Bengals)
The Bengals went to Tampa Bay on Sunday as 3.5-point favorites over the Buccaneers. One thing to remember is that you never count out Tom Brady. A fast start to the game had the Buccaneers up 17-0. Then, a perfect fake punt was called that would add to the lead.
Next thing we knew, that fake punt was fumbled, and the Bengals recovered the ball. From that point on, the Bengals team that had won five straight games looked unstoppable. In fact, it was 34 straight points without stopping. Finally, they ended with a sixth straight win, 34-23.
In the end, they went from being a candidate for the biggest upset of the week to the most impressive winner of the week in three consecutive touchdown drives. The Bengals covered the spread and moved into first place in the AFC North. All in all, they are looking awfully good as a potential AFC repeat champion.
