NFL Week 16 Recap

We are seeing many teams getting ready for the playoffs as we head into the final weeks of the NFL regular season. Some teams are starting to take the lead, while others fall into the background.

This next week, there are many games that are up in the air. You never know what will happen heading into each game. Many times, the underdogs can surprise you and come out ahead.

The dust has finally settled on a Christmas weekend Week 16 in the NFL. There are still five playoff spots still up for grabs, as we head into week 17. For now, let’s take a look at your week 16 recap. 

Tennessee Titans Turtling (19-14 Texans)  

After two straight weeks of covering double-digit spreads, the Houston Texans were only a touchdown underdog to the Titans. But these are the Titans that went into this weekend with four straight losses and Malik Willis as their starting quarterback.

The Titans emerged from the weekend with a fifth straight loss, a loss of first place in the AFC South, and with a must-win against Jacksonville on the horizon, they are still forced to roll with Willis under center. It is clear, however, that he is not ready for the NFL.

For Houston, it was just its second win of the season and in the perfect scenario. You beat the old Houston team, dealing a blow to their playoff hopes, but you’re still in a position to get the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Win-win for Houston. A massive loss for the Tennessee Titans.
