The Las Vegas Raiders (3-4) will travel to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions (5-2) in Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season. Meanwhile, the Raiders are also coming off a 30-12 loss to the Chicago Bears. On the other hand, the Lions are coming off a 38-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Meanwhile, the Raiders have struggled to score points this season, averaging just 16.0 points per game. However, they are 3-2 when Jimmy Garoppolo gets the start. Garoppolo is also questionable for this game with a lingering back injury.

Lions Struggle to Score 

So far this season, the Lions have also struggled to score points in recent weeks. Overall, they have averaged just 14.0 points per game in the two games that David Montgomery has missed this season. Montgomery is also unlikely to suit up for this game with a rib injury.

As for the Las Vegas Raiders, they have a few major injuries this week. The Raider’s quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo’s back is in questionable condition. Nate Hobbs and Jakorian Bennett are both questionable as well this week. 

Detroit Lions

The running back for the Detroit Lions, David Montgomery will be out for his rib injury. Additionally, Jonah Jackson has a questionable ankle injury. Finally, Jerry Jacobs has a hamstring injury so it is unsure if we will see him this Monday. 

Raiders vs Lions Betting Prediction

In the end, the Las Vegas Raiders have struggled to score points this season, but they have been better when Jimmy Garoppolo has been the starting quarterback. Overall, the Detroit Lions have also struggled to score points in recent weeks, especially without David Montgomery in the lineup.

All in all, despite their recent struggles, both the Raiders and Lions are still solid teams. Therefore, this game could be a close one, with both teams fighting for a win. In conclusion, we predict that the Las Vegas Raiders lose by no more than eight points to the Lions.
