The Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys will face off in Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season on Sunday, October 29 at 1:00 PM EST. The two teams will kick off at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Additionally, both teams are coming off different results in Week 7, with the Rams entering a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. On the other hand, the Cowboys are coming off a bye week.

Rams Face Injuries

Ultimately, the Rams have had a disappointing season so far, with a record of 3-4. They have been hampered by injuries, especially on the offensive line. However, they still have a lot of talent on their roster, led by quarterback Matthew Stafford, wide receiver Cooper Kupp, and defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

Furthermore, Stafford has had a mixed bag of results this season. He has thrown for 1,877 yards, 11 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He has also been sacked 19 times. Kupp has been the Rams’ go-to receiver this season. He has 591 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Donald is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He has 31 tackles, four sacks, and 10 quarterback hits this season.

All in all, the Rams’ defense has been one of the best in the NFL this season. Meanwhile, they are ranked second in points allowed per game (16.0). However, their offense has been inconsistent. Overall, they are ranked 22nd in points scored per game (20.7).

Cowboy’s Success

The Cowboys have had a more successful season, with a record of 4-2. They have a high-powered offense led by Dallas’s quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. In the end, their defense has been improved this season, but it is still not one of the best in the league.

Prescott has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this season. He has thrown for 1,987 yards, 13 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Lamb has been Prescott’s favorite target this season. Additonally, he has 563 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Overall, the Cowboys’ defense has been ranked 19th in points allowed per game (24.9) this season. However, they have forced 11 turnovers, which is tied for the most in the NFL.

Rams Offense & Defense 

The Rams’ offense needs to find a way to protect Matthew Stafford. The Rams have been one of the most sacked teams in the NFL this season. Meanwhile, the Rams defense needs to pressure Dak Prescott. Prescott has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this season when he has time to throw.

Cowboy’s Offense & Defense

Ultimately, the Cowboy’s offense needs to continue to run the ball effectively. The Cowboys have averaged 149.0 rushing yards per game this season, which is seventh in the NFL. In the end, the Cowboys defense needs to stop Cooper Kupp. Meanwhile, Kupp is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and he has had a lot of success against the Cowboys in the past.

Rams vs Cowboys Prediction

Finally, the Cowboys are the better team on paper, and they have the advantage of coming off a bye week. However, the Rams have shown that they can be a strong team when they want to be. Yet, overall, I predict that the Cowboys will win this one.
