NFL Week 8 Recap
The eighth week of the NFL was full of action, along with a few upsets. Certain games that were considered “locks” ended up falling through the cracks, while others went according to plan. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite games of the week during this NFL Week 8 recap.
Chicago Bears vs. Dallas Cowboys – 49-29 (Cowboys)
The Dallas Cowboys offense was firing on all cylinders this week. They faced the Chicago Bears, a team that was already struggling immensely, and won 49-29. This incredible offensive outing was spearheaded by Dak Prescott. Prescott threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns in the rout of the Chicago Bears.
Chicago didn’t have any answers for the Dallas offense and was overwhelmed quickly. To their credit, they did find a way to score 17 points in the second quarter. The only problem is by that point, they were already down 28-17. The loss dropped the Chicago Bears to 3-5 this season with a 1-4 record on the road.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. New Orleans Saints – 24-0 (Saints)
The Las Vegas Raiders need to head back to the drawing board after Week 8. Losing 24-0 is embarrassing, especially for a team that has a long list of talented players. Derek Carr threw for 101 yards and an interception in Week 8. His poor performances are beginning to stack up, and a change may need to be made soon.
The New Orleans Saints pulled off an impressive win in Week 8, led by Andy Dalton. Dalton passed for 229 yards and two touchdowns on the day. Running back Alvin Kamara also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown. He led the team in receiving with 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The Saints will face the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.
