Crush Your Bookie NFL Football Free Picks Week 8

We’ve hit a mini-skid with NFL picks the last couple weeks, going 8-9 over the last two weeks. I stuck to a system last week and the system failed. No system picks this week. Just winners. Let’s ride.

Buffalo Bills -14 vs. Miami Dolphins

There’s one nice way to put this, the Dolphins are an awful football team. They are 0-6 since fluking their way to a win in the season opener against the Pats. Speaking of 0-6, they have also lost their last six games against the Bills. Of those six losses, five have been by double digits. Buffalo is also coming off a bye week, and the extra rest has been kind to them in the past. They are 14-8-1 ATS in their last 23 games after a week of rest. You might be tempted to stay away from this one because of the large spread, but don’t fall for it. Road underdogs of more than a touchdown are a disappointing 6-13 ATS this season. The Bills need to make a statement after coming up short against Tennessee on Monday Night football a couple weeks ago. Back Buffalo in a blowout game. Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills

Pittsburgh Steelers +3.5 vs. Cleveland Browns

Last time these two teams met, Cleveland wiped the floor with them. It felt like it was 28-0 before most fans got to their seats. Getting spanked like that by a division rival on national television might have actually benefited the Steelers. I guarantee Mike Tomlin has not let his players forget what that felt like. Big Ben and the Steelers, historically, have owned this matchup. Pittsburgh is 23-2-1 against the Browns with Roethlisberger under center. They also have not lost to the Browns in the regular season in 7 years. The Browns blowout win last season came in the playoffs. Kevin Stefanski has not done well in divisional matchups since taking over as coach. He has yet to cover in his six games against an AFC North opponent. Cleveland also has a mountain of injuries to deal with, mainly at QB. Baker did not play last week against Denver and is questionable for this contest. Even if he plays, Pittsburgh’s defense will give him fits all day. I like the Steelers to cover in a revenge spot. Maybe sprinkle the money line, as well.

Dallas Cowboys -2 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Honestly I’m pretty surprised this line is only at 2. The Vikings are getting a lot of respect for some reason. They have improved since the start of the season but they still can’t stop the run, giving up 128 rushing yards per game. That is great news for Dallas ranks second in the league in rushing yards per game with the one-two punch of Zekeand Tony Pollard. The Cowboys are coming off a bye which is great for teams playing as road favorites. Teams in this position are 68-41-2 ATS. It is a known fact at the point that Kirk Cousins hates prime time games. At least he should. He is 8-17 straight up in his career under the lights. The Vikings also struggle on the big stage. Since 2009, they are a mere 4-12-1 ATS in prime time games. Dallas is a perfect 6-0 ATS so far this year and I like them to stay undefeated on Sunday night. Give me the Cowboys and the points.

The rest of the bunch:

Atlanta Falcons -2.5 vs. Carolina Panthers
Detroit Lions +3.5 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Cincinnati Bengals -10.5 vs. NY Jets
Washington FT vs. Denver Broncos U44.5
Kansas City Chiefs vs. NY Giants U52

I love this card. We need a bounce back week and what better way to bounce back than by going 8-0? Your bookie is going bankrupt this weekend.
