Daily Sports Bets for Friday, May 27

Here’s an overview of some of the top games in sports being played on May 27. Today, we’re taking a closer look at five games from the MLB, NHL, and NBA Playoffs.

San Francisco Giants vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ETgiants vs reds baseball betting

We begin our daily sports bets with a game between the San Francisco Giants and Cincinnati Reds. The Giants, with a record of 24-19, rank third in the NL West. They’ve lost three of their last five games, but have won the last two. Now, they begin their series against the Cincinnati Reds, one of the league’s worst teams. They’ll send the 4-3 Carlos Rodon out to the mound.

The Cincinnati Reds have a record of 14-30 but have done well recently. Although they’re still towards the bottom of Major League Baseball, they’ve won three of their last five. They have yet to decide which pitcher will take the mound tonight. However, they’re coming off a huge 20-5 victory over the Cubs. The bats are hot right now for the Reds, so we’ll take them tonight.

New York Yankees vs. Tampa Bay Rays – 7:10 PM ETyankees vs rays baseball betting

The Yankees have won three games in a row, the most recent one was against the Rays. In their 7-2 victory yesterday, SP Nestor Cortez through five strikeouts through eight innings. Tonight, they’ll send another one of their strong pitchers to the mound, Jameson Taillon. Taillon has a 4-1 record as a starter with an ERA of 2.95 this season.

Taillon will have some competition as Jeffrey Springs takes the mound for the Rays. Springs is 2-1 this season with an ERA of 1.32 in 27.1 innings pitched. Each of these teams has an identical team batting average at .240. However, the Yankees have a sizable edge in runs at 215 and in on-base percentage. We’ll take the Yankees +105 tonight.

Colorado Avalanche vs. St. Louis Blues – 8:00 PM ETavalanche vs blues hockey betting

Unfortunately, there’s only one NHL playoff game today. However, this should be a good one as the Colorado Avalanche face the St. Louis Blues. The Avalanche currently leads the series 3-2, needing one more win to move on. However, they’re coming off of a 5-4 loss to the Blues and they’re playing on the road. The question is, can they overcome a road challenge?

The St. Louis Blues find themselves facing elimination at home. Averaging 3.2 goals per game, the Blues’ offense needs to do even more tonight. Throughout the series, we’ve seen the Avalanche score as many as six goals. Both the offense and the defense of St. Louis will need to be in top shape. The best bet in this one is the Avalanche -175 on the road.

Miami Heat vs. Boston Celtics – 8:30 PM ETheat vs celtics basketball betting

The Miami Heat are another team that is on the verge of elimination. Down 3-2 in the series, their offense has been rather lackluster lately. In Game 5, the Miami Heat put up a measly 80 points. This was their second game in a row with under 100 points. If they want any chance at beating the Celtics, their offense needs to step it up.

For the Celtics the game plan is rather simple, keep doing what they’re doing. Their defense has allowed just 98.2 points per game while their offense has averaged 106.4. With a large margin in points per game, the Celtics definitely have the advantage. Not to mention, they’re also playing at home tonight. Because of this, we’ll take the Celtics -8.5 tonight.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks – 9:40 PM ETdodgers vs diamondbacks baseball betting

We’ll finish our daily sports bets with an NL West matchup. The Los Angeles Dodgers rank first in the NL West with a record of 30-14. Yesterday, the bats of the Dodgers demolished the Diamondbacks 14-1. This was yet again another display of one of the best batting teams in Major League Baseball. On the mound tonight is Ryan Pepiot, who has a 3.86 ERA.

The Diamondbacks will look to rally back into this series with a win tonight. Tasked with keeping the runs to a minimum in the early game is Madison Bumgarner with a 2-2 record. Bumgarner has a 2.76 ERA over the course of 42.1 innings pitched. If there’s anyone in the Diamondbacks rotation that stands a chance, it’s Bumgarner. We’ll go with the home team here, Arizona +140.
