Daily Sports Bets for Tuesday, May 3

Here’s an overview of some of the top games in sports being played on May 3. Today, we’re taking a closer look at five games from the NHL, Major League Baseball, and the NBA.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics – 7:00 PM ET

The first game we’re going to take a look at tonight is the Milwaukee Bucks at the Boston Celtics. The first game of this series easily went to the Bucks who proved too strong for Boston. Tonight, Giannis Antetokounmpo will try to establish his dominance yet again over Jayson Tatum. The question is, will the Celtics have an answer for it?

When it comes to betting on this game, it’s important to note that Boston is still favored. Since we’ll be betting on the spread instead of the Moneyline, we’ll take Milwaukee again. Milwaukee is +4.5 tonight and they already proved how easily they can beat the Celtics.

Washington Capitals vs. Florida Panthers – 7:30 PM ET

A short time after our game above starts, the game between the Capitals and Panthers will begin. This is the first game of the series and the Capitals come in as underdogs here. They went 44-26-12 during the regular season, which is great, but not as good as Florida.

The Florida Panthers have a remarkable record at home this year. With an overall record of 58-18-6 and a 34-7-0 record at home, they’re a tough team to beat. They average 4.11 goals per game while allowing just 2.95. Look for the Panthers to get a quick start against the Capitals and take Game 1.

Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies – 9:30 PM ET

Game 2 is set between the Warriors and Grizzlies to go down tonight. The Warriors lead the series 1-0 after an incredible game with a close 117-116 finish. Today, they’ll likely try to create some separation from the Grizzlies and limit their scoring. This process is much easier said than done, especially with Ja Morant on the other side.

Unfortunately for the Grizzlies, they’ll still be without Steven Adams. Without a strong interior presence, the Grizzlies have a weak point on defense. Steve Kerr and the Warriors will look to expose this weakness and use it to their advantage. Memphis is only two-point underdogs here, so we’ll take the Warriors to win and cover.

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Oakland Athletics – 9:40 PM ET

Moving over into Major League Baseball, the Tampa Bay Rays face the Oakland Athletics. The Rays are 13-10, ranking third in the AL East. They won the first game of this series 6-1 and now look to steal Game 2. Ryan Yarbrough will make his first start on the mound tonight for the Rays. Yarbrough has yet to pitch in a single game.

The Oakland Athletics have lost multiple games at home and are looking to break the streak. In their last ten games, they’ve gone 3-7 with a .187 batting average and a 4.45 ERA. Stepping to the mound to fix the Athletics issues tonight is Paul Blackburn. Blackburn is the Athletics’ best pitcher, going 3-0 as a starter with a 1.35 ERA. Take the Athletics to win tonight.

San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – 10:10 PM ET

Our final game of the night is the San Francisco Giants against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants, third in the NL West, face off against the first-place team with a similar record. The Giants are 14-8, with an 8-3 record on the road. The Dodgers, not far in front of them, are 14-7 with an 8-2 record at home.

On the mound for San Francisco is Carlos Rodon, who has a 3-0 record this season. He faces a tough test against some of the best batters in Major League Baseball. The Dodgers have a team batting average of .237, notching 102 runs this season. Although the Dodgers have been great at home, we’ll take the Giants +120 tonight.
