It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Tuesday’s schedule.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Miami Marlins – 6:40 PM ET

Our first game of the day takes us to Miami where the Marlins host the Cincinnati Reds. The Reds kicked off this series with a 3-1 win, increasing their record to 41-61. With a record of 17-29 on the road, the Reds will send out Graham Ashcraft tonight. Ashcraft has a 4-2 record this season with a 4.64 ERA.

The Miami Marlins are 47-56 this season, similar to the Reds record. The 2-4 Braxton Garrett will take the mound for the Marlins tonight. Although Garrett has a worse record than Ashcraft, he has a better ERA at 3.96. The Reds have the better batters but we think that this game will go to the Marlins at home -130.

New York Mets vs. Washington Nationals – 7:05 PM ET

After yesterday’s 7-3 win over the Nationals, the Mets are 65-37. They’ve won their last seven games, including a few over the New York Yankees. They come into this game as -320 favorites and for good reason. Getting the start on the mound is Jacob deGrom, one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball. He also has an incredible batting group behind him.

As a team, the New York Mets are batting .257 and have an on-base percentage of .327. Today, they’re facing the Nationals who have an average of .245. On the mound for Washington is Cory Abbott, who has only pitched four innings this season. This game is going in the direction of the New York Mets at -320.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Cleveland Guardians – 7:10 PM ET

With a record of 45-57, the Arizona Diamondbacks rank fifth in the NL West. They’ve lost four games in a row after yesterday’s 6-5 loss in the 11th inning. Getting the start on the mound is Zac Gallen, who has a 5-2 record with an ERA of 3.24. Gallen has a strong record and a great ERA, perhaps the Diamondbacks can turn it around tonight.

The Cleveland Guardians are starting Triston McKenzie, who has the same 3.24 ERA. With a 7-7 record this season McKenzie has thrown 106 strikeouts in 114 innings. The Guardians also have a significant edge at the plate, batting .252 as a team. Compared to the Diamondbacks’ average of .225, you can see why the Guardians are favored. We’ll go with the Guardians -145.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Atlanta Braves – 7:20 PM ET

The Philadelphia Phillies have a 55-47 overall record and are 29-22 on the road. Ranking third in the NL East, they face the second-place team in the division tonight. The Phillies have won five games in a row, one of which was over the Atlanta Braves. Taking the mound tonight is Nick Nelson, who has a 3.94 ERA and a 3-1 record.

The Atlanta Braves are sending out one of their better pitchers as well, Spencer Strider. Strider has an ERA of 2.91 and a record of 5-3. Both of these teams are pretty even when it comes to batting so pitching will decide the winner. The Braves just swept the Diamondbacks and we think the Phillies are in their sights. We’ll take the home team tonight at -235.

Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:45 PM ET

The Chicago Cubs have a 41-60 record this season and rank third in the NL Central. They’ve lost three of their last five games but Keegan Thompson is getting the start tonight. As one of their best pitchers, Thompson has a record of 8-4 with a 3.16 ERA. The Cubs also have a pretty good team batting average at .244 but will it be enough?

The St. Louis Cardinals are no slouch at the plate, batting .251 this season. Over their last five games, they’ve lost two, once to the Toronto Blue Jays. Their other loss was an uncharacteristic one to the Washington Nationals, which is interesting. Adam Wainwright, who is 7-8 could give the Cubs the opening they need to win. We’ll go with an upset pick and take the Cubs +143.
