It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Sunday’s schedule.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates – 1:35 PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds have a record of 47-71 after last night’s 10-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Now that they have a little momentum, it’ll be interesting to see what the Reds do with it. On the mound for Cincinnati tonight is Mike Minor, who is 1-10 this season with a 6.31 ERA. Although Minor’s stats aren’t great, neither are the stats for the Pirates’ starting pitcher.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will send out the 3-9 Zach Thompson, who has a 5.51 ERA. Thompson has a slightly better ERA than Minor but not nothing too significant. Because two poor pitchers are on the mound, this game will come down to batting. The Reds have the edge in this category with an average of .240. We’ll take the Reds again tonight at +105.

Houston Astros vs. Atlanta Braves – 1:35 PM ET

With a record of 77-45, the Houston Astros lead the AL West. Last night, however, ended in their second straight loss to the Atlanta Braves. After suffering a 5-4 loss in the 11th inning, it’s clear to see that the Braves have the Astros number. Jose Urquidy has a record of 11-4 this season with an ERA of 3.69 and will get the start for Houston.

The Atlanta Braves are starting Charlie Morton, who is 6-4 with a 4.04 ERA this season. The Braves also have a .252 batting average compared to Houston’s .245. This might not seem like much of a difference but it’s clearly mattered during this series. Still, with Urquidy on the mound, we think the Astros will finally get a win tonight at +122.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Detroit Tigers – 1:40 PM ET

After losing four of their last five games, the Los Angeles Angels have a record of 52-68. Last night, in their game against the Detroit Tigers, they lost 4-3. They’ll send Shohei Ohtani out to the mound in the hopes that he’ll earn a win for the team. Ohtani has a record of 10-7 with an impressive ERA of 2.69. It’s important to remember his losses aren’t solely his fault.

The Detroit Tigers have an opportunity to end this series 2-1 with a win tonight. At the plate, they’re nearly even with the Angels, batting .226 compared to the Angels at .227. Since these teams are pretty identical at the plate, it’s the pitching that will matter most. The Tigers are sending out the 1-3 Eduardo Rodriguez, so we’ll take the Angels -195.

Seattle Mariners vs. Oakland Athletics – 4:07 PM ET

Jumping forward into the afternoon games, the Seattle Mariners will face the Oakland Athletics. The Mariners have a record of 66-55 and rank second in the AL West. On the mound tonight is Luis Castillo, who has a 2.73 ERA over the course of 105.2 innings. Seattle has a batting average of .232 with an on-base percentage of .315 as well.

The Oakland Athletics were able to hand the Mariners a 4-3 loss in the 10th inning yesterday. Tonight, the 44-77 Athletics come in as +185 underdogs even with the 4-0 JP Sears on the mound. Sears has an ERA of 1.95 this season over the course of 144.1 innings. Between Castillo and Sears, we’ll take Sears and the Athletics at +185.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Arizona Diamondbacks – 4:10 PM ET

The St. Louis Cardinals have won their last six games after last night’s huge 16-7 win. They took down the Arizona Diamondbacks with ease, scoring seven runs in the first six innings. Getting the start tonight is Jose Quintana, who has a 4-5 record with a 3.38 ERA. Quintana is backed up by a group that is batting .257 this season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are starting a strong pitcher of their own in Merrill Kelly. Kelly has a record of 10-5 this season with a 2.81 ERA over the course of 144.1 innings. The biggest problem for the Diamondbacks is their batting group, which is hitting .228. With such poor batting, we’ll take the Cardinals at -130.
