It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Tuesday’s schedule.

Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies – 7:05 PM ET

Our first game of the day is between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves, with a record of 42-32 is coming off a 5-3 loss to the LA Dodgers. Tonight, they’ll hope to get back on the winning track with a win over the Phillies. Taking the mound for them today is Charlie Morton, who has a 4-3 record as a starter.

The Phillies will send out a slightly better pitcher, Zack Wheeler. Wheeler has a record of 6-4 but has a very impressive ERA of 2.77. This ERA is much better than Morton’s 4.84, so keep that in mind. Each of these teams is tied in terms of team batting average at .247. We’ll go with the Phillies due to the better pitching they have.

Houston Astros vs. New York Mets – 7:10 PM ET

The Houston Astros head into today’s game with a record of 45-27. After a 6-3 loss to the New York Yankees, they’ll take on another New York team tonight. The Mets are a tough team to beat, however, the Astros are starting the 7-3 Framber Valdez. Valdez and his ERA of 2.90 give the Astros the best chance to win this game.

The Mets are also sending out one of their best tonight, Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco has an 8-3 record as a starter with an ERA of 4.42. Where the Mets are significantly better than the Astros is at the plate. The Mets have a team batting average of .259, ranking as one of the best teams in the league. Because of this, we’ll take the Mets to win tonight at home +110.

Miami Marlins vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:45 PM ET

The Miami Marlins were hit with a 9-0 loss to the Cardinals in Game 1 of this series. Now, as we enter Game 2, they’ll seek to have a much better outing. However, starting the 1-2 Braxton Garrett isn’t a good way to begin this game. Garrett has an ERA of 4.08 which doesn’t bode well for Miami, especially against the Cardinals batters.

As a team, the Cardinals have a batting average of .254, well over the Marlins’ .245. Since we know they have an advantage in batting, let’s look at pitching. On the mound for the Cardinals tonight is Dakota Hudson, who has a 5-4 record. Hudson also has an impressive ERA of 3.72, so we’ll go with the Cardinals -145.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs – 8:05 PM ET

Although the Reds have a record that’s well under the .500 mark, this should be an entertaining one. Tonight, they face the Chicago Cubs who come off a 6-5 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. The Reds, however, just beat the San Francisco Giants 10-3 a few days ago. It’s clear the Reds are capable of winning games. They’ll start the 2-4 Luis Castillo tonight who has a 3.71 ERA.

Taking the mound for the Cubs is who we consider their best pitcher, Keegan Thompson. Thompson has an ERA of 3.10 over the course of 61 innings. His record of 7-2 also reflects his prowess on the mound this season. The question is, can he slow down the batters of the Reds? After how the Reds beat San Francisco on the road, we’ll take them over Chicago at -105.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies – 8:40 PM ET

As always, these NL West games can be quite entertaining. Yesterday’s game ended in a 4-0 loss for the LA Dodgers and now they have to face Colorado again. They’re sending out their ace, Clayton Kershaw, in hopes of securing a win. Kershaw is 5-1 as a starter this season with an ERA of 2.00. However, injuries are a big problem for the Dodgers right now.

Mookie Betts, their leading home run hitter, was put on the 10-Day IL on June 26. Along with him are a few relief pitchers, this includes Caleb Ferguson. The Rockies will start Kyle Freeland today in hopes that he can stop the rest of the Dodgers. Freeland’s record of 3-5 with a 4.29 ERA doesn’t give us much hope. We’ll take the injured Dodgers at -215 tonight.
