Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies – 1:05 PM ET

Our first game of the day takes place between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves, with a 94-58 record, rank second in the NL East heading into this game. On the mound tonight is Charlie Morton, the 9-6 starting pitcher with an ERA of 4.09. They finally earned a 6-3 win over the Phillies yesterday, after losing two in a row.

On the mound for the Phillies today is Kyle Gibson, who is 10-7 this season. With an ERA of 4.71, the Braves have a slight edge over the Phillies. With both teams boasting a batting average of .254, we’ll go with the Braves -125 today.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Cincinnati Reds – 1:40 PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers have won their last four games, including three wins over the Reds. On the mound tonight is the 4-3 Freddy Peralta, who has an ERA of 3.45. With a team batting average of .236, we’re surprised they’ve done so well at the plate. They’ll need all the help they can get to end the series with a win tonight.

Getting the start for the Cincinnati Reds today is Nick Lodolo, who has a 4-7 record this season. At the plate, the Reds have a .238 batting average, only slightly better than the Brewers. This is the final game of the series, so we’ll take the Reds to get one final win at +135.

Detroit Tigers vs. Chicago White Sox – 2:10 PM ET

With a 59-92 record, the Detroit Tigers will continue their series against Chicago today. Yesterday, they earned a 7-2 win, their second of the series. On the mound tonight is Tyler Alexander, who has a 4-10 record with a 4.91 ERA. This is where we believe the Tigers’ luck runs out.

Getting the start for the White Sox is Dylan Cease, who has a 14-7 record. More impressive than his record is his ERA of 2.13 over the course of 173 innings pitched. The White Sox have a team batting average of .259 and they’re the best pick tonight. Take the White Sox at -267 over the Detroit Tigers.

San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies – 3:10 PM ET

The San Diego Padres head into this game with a record of 84-68. They’re the second-place team in the NL West, with no chance of catching the Los Angeles Dodgers. They can still fight for wins though as they face another NL West team, the Colorado Rockies. On the mound for the Padres tonight is the 6-7 Mike Clevinger, who has an ERA of 4.23.

Clevinger will face a Rockies batting lineup that boasts an average of .256. The Padres have a team batting average of .239, so the advantage goes to the Rockies. Still, after the 9-3 win the Padres earned over the Rockies yesterday, we’ll take them -155.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – 4:10 PM ET

The St. Louis Cardinals against the Los Angeles Dodgers is our must-watch game of the day. The Cardinals, with a record of 89-64, lead the NL Central. However, yesterday’s 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers likely left a dent in their pride. The 11-10 Adam Wainwright will get the start on the mound today with an ERA of 3.38.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are sending out Michael Grove, a fairly average pitcher. He has an ERA of 4.66 over the course of just 19.1 innings. The Dodgers have a .259 batting average, only slightly better than St. Louis. Because of this, we’ll actually take the Cardinals on the road at +130.
