The Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off in a Week 7 NFL showdown on Sunday, October 22nd. They are set to kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field at 8:20 pm ET. Both teams are 5-1. Therefore, this makes this one of the most anticipated matchups of the week.

Dolphins’ Offenses

The Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, has had a good season so far. In the end, he is in his third season with the team. All in all, he will need to have a big game if the Dolphins want to beat the Eagles.

Furthermore, Tagovailoa is surrounded by a talented group of weapons. Some teammates include wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, tight end Mike Gesicki, and running back Raheem Mostert. First, Hill is one of the fastest players in the NFL and is a deep threat. Next, Waddle is a shifty receiver who is also a threat in the passing game. Last, Gesicki is a versatile tight end who can catch passes and block. 

Eagles’ Offense

The Eagles offense is led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is in his second season as the team’s starter. Hurts has taken a big step forward this season and is now one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL. He is a dual-threat quarterback who can beat teams with his arm and his legs.

Some of the Eagle’s key players include wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, tight end Dallas Goedert, and running back Miles Sanders. Brown is a big-play receiver with strong hands. Next, Smith is a versatile receiver who can play inside and outside. Lastly, Goedert is a dynamic tight end who can catch passes and blocks. Sanders is a shifty running back who is also a threat in the passing game.

Dolphins vs. Eagles Defense

The Dolphins’ defense has been one of the best in the NFL this season. They are ranked third in the league in points allowed and fourth in total yards allowed. In addition, Wilkins is a disruptive force in the middle of the defensive line. Finally, Baker is a versatile linebacker, and Howard is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

Eagles Defense

All in all, the Eagles’ defense has also been solid this season. They are also ranked 11th in the league in points allowed and 12th in total yards allowed. Furthermore, the Eagles are led by defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, linebacker T.J. Edwards, and safety Darius Slay. Lastly, Cox is a disruptive force in the middle of the defensive line. All in all, Edwards is a versatile linebacker who can play in the box or cover. Slay is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. 

Dolphins vs Eagles Prediction

To sum it up, this game is expected to be a close one, as both teams are evenly matched. However, the Dolphins have a slight edge in experience and talent. Therefore, I predict the Dolphins will win this game 27-24.
