It’s another great day for baseball betting! Here, we’re taking a look and betting on the top five games on Saturday’s schedule.

Chicago Cubs vs. Cincinnati Reds – 6:40 PM ET

We’re going to begin the best bets of the day with a game between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds. The Cubs, with a record of 46-65, have won their last two games. One of these two wins was a 4-2 win over the Reds yesterday. On the mound tonight is the 0-3 Adrian Sampson, who has an ERA of 3.83.

The Cincinnati Reds are 44-67, a similar record to the Cubs. In fact, these teams are similar in quite a few ways. The Cubs have a slight edge at the plate where they’re batting .244 this season. The Reds, however, come in with an average of .238 and an on-base percentage of .308. Between these two, the Cubs are the better pick at +100.

Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins – 7:10 PM ET

With a record of 67-46, the Atlanta Braves are second in the NL East. Today, they have a doubleheader against the Miami Marlins. Yesterday’s game resulted in a 4-3 win over Miami and they’ll look to grab another today. Ian Anderson, who is 9-6 this season, will get the start for the Braves tonight. Although he has a good record, his ERA of 5.11 is concerning.

The Miami Marlins are 50-62 before the start of the first game. This season has been a rough one for the Marlins who have yet to name a starting pitcher. They’ve lost three of their last five games and have a team batting average of .236. Compared to the Braves average of .250, we’ll take the Braves on the road tonight.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. St. Louis Cardinals – 7:15 PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers hold the second-place spot in the NL Central with a 60-51 record. Last night, they suffered a 3-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Tonight, they’ll face the Cardinals again but this time they’ll have Corbin Burnes on the mound. Burnes has an ERA of 2.45 with a record of 8-5. In our opinion, the Brewers have won the pitching battle tonight.

The reason we say this is because the Cardinals are starting the 8-8 Adam Wainwright. Wainwright has an ERA of 3.42 in the span of 134.1 innings. In comparison, Burnes has thrown 175 strikeouts in 136 innings compared to Wainwright’s 108. Pitching is one of the most important factors in a game, so we’ll take the Brewers -140.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Colorado Rockies – 8:10 PM

The NL West is an interesting division because there are so many great teams. With a 51-61 record, the Diamondbacks rank fourth in the division. Last night’s game ended in a 5-3 loss to the Colorado Rockies and Arizona will look to bounce back. In order to do this, they’ll start Zac Gallen, one of their best pitchers. Gallen has a 7-2 record with an ERA of 3.12 this season.

The Colorado Rockies are starting Jose Urena tonight, the 1-3 right-handed pitcher. With Urena on the mound, the pitching advantage goes to the Diamondbacks. In terms of batting, Colorado has a sizable advantage over Arizona. This season, the Rockies have a batting average of .265, while the Diamondbacks have a .228. We’ll take Colorado over Arizona at +122.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. San Francisco Giants – 9:05 PM

With a 45-68 record this season, the Pittsburgh Pirates rank fourth in the NL Central. They’ve lost four of their last five games, including last night’s game against the San Francisco Giants. With Tyler Beede on the mound, the Pirates hope to get a fast start against the Giants. The last thing they need is another loss on the road.

The Giants are a tough team to beat, however, especially with Logan Webb on the mound. Webb has an ERA of 3.17 with a record of 10-5 this season. San Francisco comes into this game as -250 favorites and for good reason. The Giants are a better batting and pitching team, so they should win this one easily.
