Daily Roundup: Wizards at Trail Blazers, Kings at Jazz, Bucks at Warriors, Blues at Predators, Coyotes at Bruins, Red Wings at Flames
Hope you are set for a great weekend! Let’s hope for an awesome weekend of NBA and NHL action. Starting with Saturday. Here we go:
Washington Wizards at Portland Trail Blazers
Both teams are on the outside looking in when it comes to the postseason. Washington is two back of the Atlanta Hawks for the 10th seed, while Portland is 1.5 back of the Pelicans for 10th in the West. The Trail Blazers have 16 wins at home, and just 9 on the road, so Washington is certainly going to see the better edition. Does either team care to win this game? We shall see. This line is currently off the board, but we expect the Portland Trail Blazers to win this game. The spread will not be real high; take Portland at home.
Sacramento Kings at Utah Jazz
The Sacramento Kings are 4 games back of the New Orleans Pelicans in the Western Conference. In other words – they are heading home soon. For Utah, they are 41-24 on the season, and 23-10 at home this season. Utah will come into this game fresh off a game in San Antonio on Friday. Look for some tired legs, but in the end – the Jazz are the better basketball team. Utah wins this game by double digits.
Milwaukee Bucks at Golden State Warriors
Great game here. Maybe a NBA Finals preview? There are a ton of teams that would like to argue with that – but both teams are very talented. You will have the Greek Freak and Steph Curry on the same court. Do not expect the Golden State Warriors to play this one soft. They know that’s at stake against the defending champions? Take the Warriors as the small underdog. Betting Golden State +1 is the ticket!
Now – let’s get to the ice:
St. Louis Blues at Nashville Predators
A little breakfast hockey between these two Central Division teams. The Blues are coming off their big win over the Rangers on Thursday night. St. Louis is just 3 points up on the Predators for that second spot, with Minnesota in between. In other words – this is a pretty big game. Expect Jordan Binnington to be between the pipes in this one. Craig Berube wants him to get going. The Predators are hot, with three straight wins. But, St. Louis goes on the road and wins this one. Bet the Blues +115.
Arizona Coyotes at Boston Bruins
This should be a blowout, right? If that happens in National Hockey, then yes. But, the Coyotes are going to play this game with some pride. Do not expect the Bruins to get off the hook easily. This game stays UNDER in a close game. Betting the UNDER 6 goals is the way we are going here.
Detroit Red Wings at Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames are not a team that you should be taking lightly, or overlooking. This is a very good Calgary team. At 35-15-7, they are leading the Pacific Division, and would get the 7th seeded team in the West. Calgary is easily the better team here. Do not expect the Red Wings to give much of a fight north of the border. Take Calgary by multiple goals here. Flames -1.5 is the way to go.
Enjoy and best of luck!!
